Hi,
I've booked PEO at Cardif for my ILR . I am applying on basis of HSMP+ Tier 1. Is there anybody who have experiance of Cardif PEO. Some friends told me that they are not doing it same day and in most cases where income claimed from Salary+Self employed or Self employed only, they like to keep it with them.
Can any body have info. about this.
Thanks in advance.

Customer should note that Tier 1 General or SET (O) applications relying on self employed earnings, directors dividends or salaries from a limited company of which they are a sole director, are highly likely to be complex and will not receive a same day decision with the PEO. If customers choose to proceed with these applications then the case will be referred to a specialised team outside of the PEO and although these applications will be prioritised for processing, we will be unable to provide a specific date that customer can expect to receive an outcome.

Thanks a lot for a quick reply. Do you or anybody reading this post have an idea that if i apply to Shefield do they make a decision on same day in normal circumastances where i have earnings in two catagories i.e salary+selfemployed sole trader.
Thanks ...

Based on the experience of three contractors at work avoid Cardiff if you are self employed. They recommend the following PEOs in order of preference Solihull
Sheffield
Croydon
One of the contractors applied at Cardiff had to wait for 6 months as they wanted to conduct some additional checks with HMRC. The other applied at Sheffield and got his ILR on the same day. I think you are better off going to Sheffield.
Hope this helps.

Please, note that where you applied to does not matter and is not the issue. I know a lot of people who apllied to sheffield for a day service and were granted ILR decision same day and there are quite few whose decisions for ILR were not given same day. The issue is how you package your documents and able to convince the case worker that you are worth being given a favourable decision on a same day service. Packaging here means provide all mandatory and necesaary documents to support your application.
Best of Luck

Hi
I applied for ILR today at Cardiff PEO. My case was very straightforward.
Came to the UK on HSMP, then extended into Tier 1. I Have been employed throughout the period of my stay. Out of the UK for a total of only 66 days.
Now the problem is, after waiting for about 6 hours the case worker said my case couldn't be decided on the same day as they were waiting for some security checks to come back from other government organisations. They said my documents were OK and retutrned all the documents to me, except the passport.
I was told to wait for a call in the next few days or weeks. I would like to know, what checks could these be?
They haven't mentioned anything regarding the decision. Should I take it as approval, as the documents are returned to me? They've just kept the passport.
Any responses from experienced members are welcome!
Thanks

What's your passport nationality?
I was just wondering if anyone knew how would nationality related to this security checks and affect ILR application!?

Hi Janjua,
Have you asked them why they wanted to send your case to other security gov. org.? is it because of your nationality! or there is another issue you may know. please advise

I kept asking them about the nature of security checks but they wouldn't clarify anything. I just can't think of anything wrong or missing in my application. I just have one non-endorsable fixed penalty notice for parking (no points on license). I was told by UKBA customer service that it didn't need to be declared.
I don't know how nationality could affect my application, as the UKBA say they decide every individual application on its own merits (unless they do some profiling, which I hope, is not the case here).
HSMP granted: 29-05-08
Entered the UK: 13-07-08 (45 days gap - within 90 day limit)
Full time job (Pharma): 15-09-08 to 30-09-09
Full time job (Pharma): 19-10-09 to date..
Applied at PEO Cardiff: 02-05-13 ... Decision pending...

Truly, this is probably one of the most annoying things which people face when applying for ILR.
Please, Keep Us Updated On Your case..thanks
