Qualified period

Post by prageethpasyala » Wed May 01, 2013 9:08 pm

My first entry clearance from Sri lanka as a work permit holder was granted on 18th August, 2008 and I entered the UK on 5th September, 2008 ie; 18 Days after entry clearance.

Can anyone tell me from which date should i have to count backward 28 days to find out qualifying period.

1. Visa granted date - 18 Aug 2008
2. Immigration Stamped date (Entry Clarence) - 05 Sep 2008

I think it starts from when the visa was granted. you dont have to apply exactly 28 days before your visa finishes. you can apply a week before your visa runs out.

Your qualifying period stars on 18th August, when your first vias was granted.
