Overstayer applying for FLR(O)DLR +British Child and Partner

Post by cookies » Fri Apr 19, 2013 6:38 pm

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping being a part of this forum will ease some of the stress. I would love to hear from ppl in a similar situation and how your applications went.
My story
I came to the UK Sep 2009 on a tier 4 visa exchange migrant (I am from South America) and my visa was only valid for 8 months, I was (still am) in a relationship with my current Scottish partner during the time my visa was still valid and I fell pregnant, we didn't have a clue on what to do back then and didn't have the funds anyway so we moved to Scotland and I overstayed (it's going to be 3 years since I overstayed this June) I went to a solicitor (consultation only) and he advised me to file a flr(o) application. We are, at the moment getting our passports, both my partner and daughter's passports (my daughter is 2 1/2 now) and then we will be seeing the solicitor again with all relevant papers and apply in May.
I am very very nervous and the stress of it all is killing me. Is anyone in my situation and what extra documents did you send out with your application to make the case stronger??? As soon as I apply I will start my application timeline. Hope you can all share yours as well! Success stories anyone?

Hi Cookie,

I would suggest that you use the search tool in this forum there are a lot of similar situations like yours on year, you need to try look for the FLR(O) thread. I hope this is helpful.

Yes it is a stressful situation when your live has to be determined by someone. Good luck to us all.
