Schengen travel

Post by maulik_doctor » Mon May 06, 2013 7:42 pm

Hi All,

I am a british citizen and my wife & child are Indian citizens currently living in UK on dependent visas. Can they travel with me to Spain without schengen visas under Directive 2004/38/EC and according to Real Decreto 240/2007, 16 February ?

Thanks

Maulik

They will be expected to have visas. These should be free and issued promptly.

I think I have read that it has been done, but it wasn't easy.

Far easier to just apply for the Spanish Schengen visa, then you know your not going to get the "10,000 questions" at the airport of departure, and have a good chance of being refused boarding.
