EC: Job Offer Vs Funds

Post by NationOne » Mon Mar 29, 2004 9:39 am

I have shown very less funds - GBP 5000 for a family of 3. But I have a job offer in the UK. Will the 'job offer' (GBP 45,000) tilt the balance in my favor, in-spite of my meager funds.

Since I have applied for EC only for myself at the moment, will they benchmark the funds on a single person perspective or on a 'family of 3' ?

It will definitley do - this is based on it being a bonafide job offer as oppossed to say a friend 'offering' you a job in his/her company unless the business is properly documented through the provision of regisration details for establishsment, VAT, NI and related taxes :) .

They consider your family but the job offer as per my comment above takes care of this.

Sorry i didnt understand the situation,

NationWide showed 5000GPB for the past earnings--- which country is it? and is it enough to get points??

My question is, if you havent earned enough to get some points for the last year, but you have a job offer in UK with enough amount to point, How do they take this into consideration??? do they point you??

Thanks

NW has shown this figure as funds in his possession in relation to ability to accomodate himself and dependents without recourse to public funds and NOT for the income section in the scoring matrix.

If income is not equal to at least the minimum on income section you get NO points. A job offer is considered as part of the evidence to show you will meet the requirement to support yourself and any dependents without recourse to public funds. It also has the addded advantage of prioritising your application with the HSMP Team which is very useful given the lengthening processing times for HSMP applicants.

Hope that clarifies it :) .

I got my EC thanks to the job offer even though I showed less funds.
