Hi, i am a student and married a British guy last year. prior to that, my college was under legacy and my visa was still valid for Feb 2013. i applied for leave to remain but i was refused on the grounds that my visa has been curtailed. i went to a lawyer and he wrote a letter to UKBA to reconsider. months later they refused. They still have my passport..? What should i do? Please help me?

UKBA said that my Student visa was Curtailed. They did not notify me of such. And that i should not have been in the country because the laws change Last October. I really had no idea. about the law

how can a visa be Curtailed? Even the rules change all the time they dont affect people cos of the old rules work.
Can they proof they have been notify you for that?

They Never notified me. Until the day I received the refusal letter. With no reason to appeal and they gave me 28 days to make travelling arrangement's and my spouse who happens to be British should have no problem leave out of the UK.

I would suggest you to find a good lawyer and appeal against the case. As you said they never notified you how could you be aware of the visa has been curtailed.
