Hi Guys, I have been reading this Forum for a while.
Onlyme... we are in a similar situation. Been a Minor is a good thing. UKBA will treat us in a compassionate way. Are you at Uni yet?
Here is my timeline
Application submitted March 2012
Biometrics done April 2012

Rec212....Please you need to act now as your visa runs out today. Once you have stayed in the UK for over 28days you are classified as an overstayer. I am sure you dont want that.

I applied 2 months ago for a DLR and I have been refused for many reasons with no right to appeal.
My solicitor said that they should send me a removal notice to remind me that I need to make flight arrangements and leave the country, they also said that I should be given the right to appeal once I get that removal notice.

Thank you.
@rec 212

your application was rufused with no appeal rights, waiting for a removal direction technically means you are prepared to be an overstayer, they will only issue such unless your current leave runs out.

you were refused for several reasons as quoted, if you are certain of achieving a successful appeal I would suggest you re-apply immediately addressing the list of reasons for your refusal, certainly you must have been prepared to deal with this through an appeal so your supporting documents must be intact I presume.

this might be costing you some money, but trust me lot more cheaper than what you will go through as an overstayer and solicitors charges/costs eventually. (This is just my personal view).

Don't worry my dear these people can be heartless,
You have been here for 10 years or so, plus you applied as a minor they Waited until you became an adult to refuse your application.
This decision should be able to overturn. Not sure about legal aid talk to the citizen advise bureau.

Best of luck and try to keep up your spirit.

Hi Onelast chance. Just give the charity a ring they still would be able to help or they would give you advice or any other charity contact details they are linked to. I applied as a minor myself and was refused few years ago. This was because i used a crap solicitor. I am fighting it again applied March 2012.

they obviously refused you on the old rules

under the new rules article 8 you would be eligible because you've lived over half your life in the uk and you are under 25. under 276 ADE or something like that.
