I've got my appointment with the NCS tomorrow: Saturday 18th May 2013. I have been in the UK for 5 years with more than 12 months with ILR.

I am aware I must have been physicaly present on the day before the application is received by the Home Office.

But... when is that?
19th May 2008?
or 21st May 2008?

I would appreciate your help.

if NCS post your application on 18th and it reaches HO on 20th, then on 21st May 08

Please note that NCS might only post in on Monday (20th). I suggest you double check it with them.

If you were absent from the UK on certain dates in May 2008, you should make it clear to NCS so the correct measures (if needed) are taken.

No, my partnership was disolved in June 2011.

Sorry to hear that then yes you must meet the 5 year residency test and 12 months settlement.
