NARIC Letter and mispelling

Post by tarek131 » Sun Apr 15, 2007 9:44 pm

Hello All,
I have applied for NARIC Letter 2 days ago, but I noticed that my names on my certificate is not the same as my name in my passort and some guys said, it is not good to have such situation when you apply for HSMP.
I'm living now in UK with Work permit (5 years) and I want to apply for HSMP.

My Name in Passort is :
Tareq Muhammad Mahmoud Ali
Tare(k) M(o)ha(me)d Mahmoud Ali (Name in certificate)

What shall I do ?

again, for my birth certificate, I need to translate it (it is better to translate it in UK or in my home country with recongized translator )
if anyone has a good cheap reconginzed transolor in London, please send me his email

You are not in a hurry (since you alrady have 5 yeard WP) You should ask NARIC to correct it, do not take a change for rejection based on this.

Mispelling is their fault or youe fault. If it is their fault then ask them to correct it, I believe you will not br charged again for this.

Thank you Pantaiena for your reply, actaully, it is my fault because my name on my certificate is different than my name in my passpport.

In the Naric letter do you they include my name or it is just say that "degree name " is equivalent to UK degree?

I already contacted them but nobody replies.

Dear tarek131

Your Name and NARIC ref Number will be printed on the top of the comparability letter.

Normally, your name on NARIC comparability letter is based on your name on the certificate. I have no idea whether you could change your name based on what is written on your passort.

But I think the root cause is that your name on passport VS certificate is not the same. So for HSMP purpose, eventhough you could ask NARIC to change the comparability letter using the name on your passpot, it still will not solve the problem as your name on certificate still not the same with passport.

To be honest I do not know how to solve this problem. Probably you could ask your universityt to issue you a letter to explain that the person on the certificate is the same with t he person on the passport (Date of Birth, if applicable)

Your Name and their refrence number will be written on the top of NARIC comparability letter.

Good Luck

I have contacted Naric to put the right name on my letter and they said they will do that, finger crossed.

I will ask my university to issue a new certificate with the right name.

I have another question. my certificate says that I havea specific degree and date of that degree (on univ headed pepar + univ stamp)
is that enough ? or should I get transcript for the course I had?

for HSMP tracscript is not really required. Certificate itself is enough
