Hi
I hope someone can give me advice.
I am currently living in the UK on a five year working visa with 3 years left on it. I have never visited Europe so decided to go to Belgium for a weekend.
Although i knew the chances were slim of me receiving a multiple entry Schengen visa I asked anyways and was turned down (someone said I should have had a years travel insurance not just one for the weekend!)
So i am off to Belgium on a single entry!
Now..i have been invited to attend a friends show in Rome half way through may and cannot get an appt with the Italian embassy in time so was wondering if I could re-apply through belgium and enter the Schengen area through Belgium and travel to Italy (since I have been able to secure an appt with the Belgian Embassy post-weekend away). What would the implications be and what are the chances of getting multiple entry second time round, since i am boooked to go to Spain in a couple of Months!
Also what are the implications of getting your visa for a trip that then doesnt happen at that stage due to circumstances (my work is very unpredictable). Would cancelling the hotels etc have any negative effects!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
