Contacting Case Workers to explain application?

Post by fortordtwobucks » Thu Apr 19, 2007 2:27 pm

All,

I have been reading this forum for several weeks now and am going to send my application out on April 20.

I am working in the United States where contributions to 401k retirement accounts are not taxable, therefore my W-2 (tax return) states an income that is less than my gross income. All of my wage slip printouts (signed and stamped) and the letter from my employer (signed and stamped) confirm my gross income as claimed.

First: Will they understand this or do I need to explain this in my application? (I feel that this may confuse them)

Second: I see posts about people contacting their case workers. Can you do this while they are processing your application or only afterward?

Thanks!

Matt
