Job Title / Responsibilities Issue

Hi Everyone,

The company I am working in already holds the Tier 2 sponsorship power and willing to sponsor me. But, as the job title company gave me does not match exactly the one in SOC Codes of practice I am confused. It has to be noted anyhow that the job is related to performing some of the duties (though not fully) in a title listed in SOC.

Is UKBA very strict with the job responsibilities and title? Is it ok if my company just change my job title and apply for the visa?

Any help would be appreciated.

It is the job description that determines the SOC code, not the job title, but it would help, and may avoid queries, if in the CoS the company used a job title that corresponded to the job description in the codes of practice .
