FLR(M) Financial Question

Post by LittleGiraffe » Wed Jun 05, 2013 4:48 pm

First of all, what a wonderful and helpful community! I've been going through the boards throughout my immigration struggles and I've found so much help - so thank you all SO much!

Let me explain my situation - I am a supply teacher employed by the same company for more than a year and I make just over £13,000 per year unsalaried. However, my fiance (we're getting married next month!) was salaried for 3.5 months of the pervious 6 and did agency work for the most recent 3.5. We're now just waiting for his contract for a new job that makes more than the standard requirement of £18.600 .

As I don't meet the requirement alone I assume I need to apply under Category B because my fiance hasn't had the same job for more than 6 months. Is that correct?

My next question is how to I show my fiance's income? For half of our 6 month previous period he was salaried and for half he will have been unsalaried?

Thanks again for any help. Our application date is quickly sneaking up on us (end of July) and I need to get this sorted!

You should see Annex FM 1.7 - Financial requirement

You can use both of your incomes for the requirement as you are both in the UK and legally working (I assume).
