Flr(m) then directly to set(m) using immigration rule 287(a)(i)(d) assuming she meets the other standard requirements.kaola_tutu wrote:Hi Everyone, I am new here and got a question waiting for your helps.
Your helps would be much appreiciated!
I just got my ILR based on the 10 years rule a couple of days ago. Before I got ILR, I was a T2(G) holder. My wife was my T2(G) dependant, who had T2(G) dependant visa since Jun 2011.
My question is she need to apply spouse visa now? or she can apply ILR directly, duo to she has hold dependant visa over 2 years? I think she still need follow the old dependant rule, does't she? As you guys know there is a new rule released in 2012.
Please help me huys. any advices are more than welcomed.

Thanks for your reply D4109125.
So she still need two applications? 1. switch dependant to spouse. 2. without waiting another 5 years, she can apply ILR ASAP.
Am I correct?

She will need a pass in the life in the uk test or it's equivalent to satisfy the KOLL requirement for settlement set(m).kaola_tutu wrote:Thank you very much for your helps D4109125. YOU ARE THE MAN!D4109125 wrote:Indeed.kaola_tutu wrote:D4109125 wrote:

Just a little bit more wonder, what is the best way for my wife's application in your opinion. Should I fill up flr(m) and set(m) both form and bring them to interview? Is there any chance to deal with both at one time. Or only one each time, twice application.... really too much money, isn't it.
Another question (please don't be bothered) for the English language requirements, My wife has master degree only. But base on the FLRM guidence, it only shows requiring equvalent to Bachelor's degree instead of taking language test. What do you think GURU?
Thank you.
This applies in your wife's case:kaola_tutu wrote:Thank you guys. Ok, I have to do 2 seperate applications.
What do you think the Language requirements? She hot her master degree in UK. Will this ok to use? Because I only see they mentioned Bachlor's degree.
Thank you.
Yes for FLR(m) however, for set(m) she must meet the KOLL requirementkaola_tutu wrote:Thank you guys. Ok, I have to do 2 seperate applications.
