Biometric Residence Permit entry to UK?

Post by Jackc » Tue Jun 11, 2013 10:10 am

Hello,

Does anyone know if BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) is linked with the passport?

What I mean is that my daughter has 2 foreign passport (1 is US and the other is native country passport). While applying ILR, she uses US passport as Tier 1 stamp is on it. As US passport expired, can she travel using her native country passport with BRP card while getting out and entry to UK.

Cheers.

For travel purposes a passport is always mandatory regardless type of residence permit/BRP a person holds. Your daughter must have stated/declared the possession of two passports in applications forms while applying ILR/ previous LTR applications. In that case, it should not be a problem. Otherwise renewing US passport is advisable.
