Applying under 200k

Post by gomcy » Thu Jun 13, 2013 11:31 pm

Hi All,

I am applying for tier 1 under 200k category next month and really really confused on the following issues:

1. Contract: when the company is not registered yet and according to guidelines can be registered later . how can I get any contract in company name. Also, I am currently doing a job and will apply for visa but will register the company after getting the visa. So what type of contract should work.

2. Investment: when do we have to do the investment. after 3 years or each year. does all office expenses and office property, employees conounted as investment or not.

3. Is it advisable to take a solicitors help while applying or anybody who got the visa can give some guidelines. a list of required documents will be very helpful.

Thanks. Pls help guys

if u applying under 200k access then u dont need a contract, contract needed for 50k acess cat. however u need a strong and viable business plan.

yes u will register ur compnay after getting ur visa.

yes investment will be all office expenses and office property, employees wages etc.

u need to spend all of ur 200k + create 2 full times jobs for 12montths b4 u apply for an extension.

read policy guideline by himself and things get easy for u.

Employees wages are not counted as investment. That is not an investment.

there seems to be conflicting understanding of the policy guidance:

DOES WAGES PAID OUT TO YOUR EMPLOYERS (NOT YOURSELF, THE DIRECTOR) COUNT AS PART OF THE 50K OR 200K INVESMENT? YES OR NO?
can someone please clarify this?

in my point of view yes.

please point out in policy guideline where it says the employee wages wont counted towards investment money.

for T1E the investment is the money to run ur business. no need to just invest only in brick n mortar or pay bills with the whole 50k/200k.

ONLY RESTRICTION IS DIRECTOR(YOURSELF) REMUNERATION.

wages of employees is investment. as it is a business expense. however ukba has specifically stated that salary of director and investment in house property do not count as investment to stop abuse investment clause of visa. so salary of employees(other than director), business expenses(advert, phone bills, rent, utility bills, business trips, company car etc) all count as investment.

100% AGREE WITH entrepreneur123.

A BUSINESS USED ITS FUND TO PAY OFF STAFF WAGES AND BUSINESS FUND MADE UP FROM YOUR OWN 50/200K ACCESS.
