Curious about situation - HO

Hello...

After 8 months of waiting we heard back from the HO saying that "they have considered our application and will let us remain in the UK" - exact quote. My family and my siblings we all applied under the 10 yr stay for ILR. Anyway because we applied through a solicitor, they mentioned in their letter that they will let the solicitor know in due course. After two weeks of receiving that we receive another letter - this time asking us to send 4 recent photos for them to progress the application.

If I recall properly the first time we only sent 2 photos with the application...why r they now asking again...and even if they want recent photos why do they need four...?

Has anyone had the same experience? being asked for 4 photos.....
