Switching from Tier 2 (general) to Spouse of British Citizen

Post by thshoeb » Thu Jun 20, 2013 1:36 pm

Hi,

I am currently on a Tier 2 (general) visa which expires on the first week of October when my fixed term employment ends. The tier 2 visa was granted for 3 years.

I am also married to a British Citizen and thinking of switching to spouse visa (using flr(m) form). Is there any restriction on working in the UK if I switch from Tier 2 to spouse visa?

(I know there is a restriction of 12 months when applying for a tier 2 entry clearance from outside the UK if your last leave was in tier 2).

Many thanks for your time.
Regards
Tanvir

Guru, thank you for the link. I have read through UKBA website in the past but I never found a paragraph or immigration law which states that migrants switching to spouse visa in the UK can work without any restrictions. If you are aware of any specific source of informaiton that would be very helpful. Regards
