Spouse visa

Post by fiza » Mon Apr 30, 2007 8:17 am

Hi

We applied for my spouse visa via Islamabad just over 10 weeks ago and no response. Should I be worried? You hear of people getting visa within 6-8 weeks.

Also is they another way apart from Gerrys website to find out how far your appliations got?

thanks

My wife applied nearly 9 weeks ago in ISB and no news yet - I guess no news is good news eh?

They can issue the visas quicker than the 12-13 weeks they state which was the case with my husbands application and I know of several other people who have had similar applications from Islamabad processed within a few weeks so it looks like they are finally catching up with their workload (either that, or it's the quiet time before 'marriage season' starts next month  )

Annoying thing is that if you do contact them before the 12 week deadline they won't give you any info and tell you to wait to be contacted.

Easier said than done right....

Yeah its bloody annoying they don't even answer emails, I think they need to following a set of CONCRETE STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES!

hi fiza
maybe you should contact the bhc now since your 12 weeks are up. email them or better yet contact them by telephone. if you applied from bhc islamabad call them on 051-2012901.
was your case complicated if so its probably been referred to the HO in uk.
and don't worry!

hope this helps
good luck
cloudysky

Fiza,

Try ringing them and also emailing the HIGH COMMISSION.

Make sure in the subject line you write FAO ENTRY CLEARANCE MANAGER.

I did this and got a reply within 24 hours.....

many visa's going to appeal

Post by Tahir Khan BURNLEY » Thu May 24, 2007 2:28 am

hi,
just recantly two of my cousins visas have been denied and now the long road to the appeal has begun, i my self am in the 6th week of my wifes application. at the momment, the embassies are not taking new applications,( they have been for a week and a half, well thats what it says on gerry's webisite,) does this mean that my wifes visa has been delayed, or quicked because of more manpower on the processig side of the system.
by the way, they both got news of their visa decisions on the 12th week, so if you havent recieved any news yet, make a strong effort in contacting them!
