Thanks to all of you for your congratulatory messages.
Let me try and share my story without using too many words. I came here in 2002 on a visiting visa with 2 kids and overstayed ever since. Tried to regularise my stay in 2009 but was ill advised by a crap of a solicitor who advised me to apply for indefinite leave to remain but it was refused that same year.
I applied again in 2010 on flro but with a different solicitor and got a refusal after 12 months in 2011
I applied again in sept 2012 sept and finally got the decision I wanted today!!!

Thank you all for your support in this forum, it has indeed been a place of refuge whenever I felt down.

For all still waiting, it's just a matter of time you will all be granted and that time will definitely be before the end of summer 2013!!!!!

Been here since i was 8, family overstayed because of some mix up with the visa, we didnt have enough money to get solicitor to sort it out back then. Was suppose to go to uni this year but couldnt because of this so i decided to sort it out myself once and for all. Had amazing support from Coram Children Legal Centre who has helped me all the way.
Hope this helps anyone who may be in a similar situation to me.
Congrats cissily. All the best with your education. You are a very smart young person.

Winners I submitted my biometrics on the 8/3/2013. Yes my application was based on the fact that my kids have been here for over 7 years, 11 yrs to be precise.
You are very correct, it's been a fight of faith all the way! I contacted my mp, sent emails to rob the CEO of UKBA twice and sent an email to mark harper the immigration minister once. After that I got a call from the HO that a case my application is under consideration and that was six over six weeks ago!!
But thank god it's all history today!!!

Hi guys can I also say here that no one should believe anything you are told when you call UKBA. The reason I'm saying this is that I called last week Thursday and was told my application is incomplete and that its with the case working team only for my biometrics card to arrive today
They sent everything! It's truly unbelievable!!!
