urgent advice please

Post by khadija » Sat Jul 06, 2013 7:23 am

Hi everyone, I just need an urgent advice please, I have posted in this forum before but the satiation has changed.
I am a UK national married to non EU national (Egyptian national) which is country that required a visa to entre to Dublin. I am employed in Dublin in a fix term contact; I live in room in shared house, just for two months .I was planning to apply for my husband to join me /accompany him to Dublin when I am more settled.
However, the political turmoil in Egypt for the past few days has actually escalated; i am very concerned for my husband personal safety and would like to apply for the long term stay visa.
What are the requirements? All I have is house lease only for two months and my job contract. I am still in the process of applying to open a bank account, my job contract state pay of 25,000 per year.
If we apply now within the next few days, what are the documents I would be required to submit to prove I can sponsor him and I am lawfully in Ireland?
I am very concern for his safety; Egypt will be a warzone in the coming months!!

Please advice ,
Thank you very much any advice is very appreciate 

Clearly there is a serious situation in Egypt.

An EU national needs to be a worker (etc), but you are that. That is all that is required for your spouse to join you.

You dont need to submit any of these things. Your an EEA citizen exercising your treaty rights in Ireland. The Irish Embassy in Cairo's website is down right now but the same info is on their Chinese Embassy website.

http://www.embassyofireland.cn/visa.php?eid=27#join

If you are the non EEA spouse or the child (under 21 years) of an EU Citizen or the child of the non EEA spouse and wish to JOIN the EU Citizen who is already in Ireland you should fully complete the online application form, and submit your signed summary application form, and photographs

In addition the following documents are required:

Your passport
Copy of the bio page of your spouse’s passport
Marriage Certificate – evidence (apostilled document) that marriage has been registered in applicant’s country of origin/residence
Birth Certificate (long form) for children under 21 years, parental consent where appropriate, national Identity card (signed if required)
Evidence that the EU Citizen spouse is lawfully in Ireland

Easy, youll get a a visa for your spouse and once you are there apply for an Irish residence card which should be good for 5 years.

The valid original marriage certificate is the main requirement.

Then also his passport, and a copy of your passport.

One payslip for you, showing that you are working in Ireland is sufficient confirmation that you (the EU citizen) are legally resident in Ireland and entitled to have your spouse join you. The payslip/copy of employment contract is NOT required, but as you have these it would be ok to add them to your application.

The visa is granted free of charge and is granted quickly, as you are an EU migrant worker. So you can apply at once.

Once your spouse is in Ireland you should apply for his pps number as soon as possible (before he is three months in Ireland).

The payslip is not required, as I said earlier.

You should apply on Tuesday, as planned, because Egypt is dangerous now.

The valid original marriage certificate is the big thing. That and his passport and a copy of your passport. These are all you need.

The payslip is needed only AFTER he has been in Ireland for three months, so some people send it with the application to show that they will definitely have it, but they do not need it until three months after the spouse comes to Ireland.
