Dependent visa for Child

Hi,

I need to apply visa for my son who was born in UK.

1. Can we apply from outside of UK, is it OK for him to travel without visa?

2. My visa is expiring in 5 months, do I need to have minimum 6 months of
visa so that I can sponsor my son? Is there any requirement like this as my son will get visa up to my visa expiry?
