Private Medical Insurance

Post by Universal soldier » Tue Jul 23, 2013 9:11 pm

As a requirement of self sufficiency to exercise treaty rights private medical insurance is needed. There are a lot of insurance providers but I want to know that is there any one who bought WPA XS and got success which has £1500 xcess and cover nearly every health condition. About xcess and insurance premium there is no guideline. Does this plan is fair and will not be a problem if it is quite cheaper.

The search facility of the forum is a great tool.

Searching for "wpa xs" will result in WPA XS.

Thanx Guru jambo for answer. I searched and found as well that sometime ukba staff have concerns that why wpa policy agreement say that it is a secondary treatment and 1st treatment is NHS which applicant still access. But private medical policy cannot be bought / exist without NHS. What do you think as time grows ukba staff now understand that without NHS it cannot run?

No idea. Unless there is someone with a recent experience, you won't know. There is no official list of approved policies.

Is WPA XS health plan suitable for only students or it is equally good for sufficient people too. If yes the why its also called student health insurance since it provide coverage well in most conditions.
any personal experience/view/information/assumption.

it's just for marketing purpose. I asked this question to one of their lady advisor and she told me majority of their customers are only signing up because of Home Office requirement and very very few use the insurance really.
WPA XS cover majority so that's comprehensive
