Hello United people of multicultural background, I have been following this forum for some time and I have decided to share my story in brief knowing fully well that no two cases can be exactly the same.

I have been in the country for almost 3 years now and applied for DL after overstaying for 4 months when my student Visa expired. Application for further leave to remain was solely based on compassionate medical grounds using Article 8 as it affected my studies severely. No British partner, no kids.

Applied: 06/06/2012
Acknowledgement: 18/06/2012
Bio Done: 18/08/2012
1st Contacted MP: 7/12/2012 !! OUTCOME: UKBA is running checks
2nd Contact to MP: 16/04/2013 OUTCOME: UKBA said keep waiting or withdraw you application.
Solicitor wrote on my behalf 16/03/2012: UKBA ignored it.
UKBA decision: Application REFUSED on 15/07/2013
Reason for REFUSAL: No reason
Removal notice sent: YES
Right to appeal removal notice sent: YES
My current mood: unperturbed
Reason: I am a global citizen
How do I intend to achieve it: G-d's help

To others still waiting, you will receive your feedback soon. No news is good news but the good news is the better news

Do not bother consoling me because I am sure it is not over until it is over. So I am using a solicitor and we have finished filling the Removal Notice appeal form to be sent next week.

My question is: How long do you think I have to wait provisionally for an invitation to appeal before an immigration Judge.
Response from experienced members who have appealed a removal notice before will be duly appreciated.

Regards
GC

Applied FLR(0)end so Sep 2012, Biometrics done on 26th Feb on decision yet..
It's 10months old application , shall I go to my MP or Ombudsman
Plz advice ...
Apparently you have to first contact your MP, then Ombudsman hun.

Have you made a complaint to Home Office already?
No I haven't done anything yet ! Will it be okay if I bypass my solicitor ?
I think so, coz I raised this question with my solicitor and he didnt sound keen....

So as soon as my 6 months are up (31/07/2013) I will be making complaints myself without my solicitors assistance.

The only thing is you have to make a complaint to HO first, before involving MP and Ombudsman hun. They should get back to you within 20 days, but obviously if they dont, then straight to MP and Ombudsman.

Good luck hun!
If one contact the Ombudsman by email directly, how long does it take for ombudsman to respond?

They reply to me about a hour after I sent email probably because I was being so dramatic and sound really stressed in the email.

It probably is with a caseworker but they not meant to tell u, I remember they told my mp my case awaiting consideration and the next day that I rang and a nice lady told me my case is allocated a caseworker and the next time I rang they states its outstanding so it all depends on who you talk to on the phone.

Good Day!
Been following this forum since I lodged my application and it has passed the 6 months marked. Just wanted to know how to file a complaint to the HO.
My timeline is

Application sent:08/01/13
Biometrics done: 24/02/13

Had civil partnership to a british national last 28th december 2012 and my visa expired last 14th December 2012 as well. Arrived to England 2009 under student visa.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Ponmodoro,

Do not despair for no two cases are exactly the same irrespective of how you assess it. I delayed in posting my current situation because I do not wish to discourage nor scare any one in a similar situation. I don't just know I have never been more positive before about my application than I am now that I know that I have been refused with removal notice and a right to appeal it. For me, it is now that my application is just starting and I have never been disappointed before by the G-d in whom I believe in.
I understand those inexperienced 6.50ph temps are at work but I believe they are at my favour directly or indirectly and in the end I will smile more than I am smiling now.

@Rilakuma: Welcome to the Forum.

@Global_Citizen: Welcome to the Forum. Normally, for an appeal the Court would write to you within 3 months. But with the recent rain of refusals it is taking longer.

After waiting for nearly 10 months, got refusal letter today.

Im so upset and angry, Im annoyed with myself for missing the 14 year deadline. I have the right to appeal but I feel lost.

I have no kids and not married and UKBA seem to think 2 brothers in my home country (one I've never even met) constitutes family ties.

I am 29 and have been here since I was 14, UKBA says I've spent the majority of my life in my home country.

Im supposed to sign in at a Reporting Centre next month.

I feel overwhelmed and numb, I have to make an appeal within 10 days if I wish to fight.

any advice anyone can give about how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
