Can a Tier 2 (General) visa be refused with no reason?

Post by una86 » Wed Jul 24, 2013 10:18 pm

Hello all,

I recently got a refusal for tier 2 visa because the letter from my bank did not state for how long I have been in possesion of my funds. I agree that this is my fault because I was not paying much attention on the required paper work :(.

I would like to know whether it is possible to be refused a tier 2 visa with no particular reason. What are your experiences? How many times on average do you need to make an application before being granted a visa? I am planning to apply for the second time and I'm now worrying about every little detail since this is my last chance.

Regards, Una

There has to be at least a valid reason for a refusal. Sadly, incomplete documents is one of them. However, they should be more flexible.

I sent an original bank letter. However, in that letter, only the current balance was indicated. It did not indicate the minimal balance amount for a period of three consecutive months.

Hi please refer to page 65 in this application form

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... nform1.pdf

it says "We will not accept statements which only show
the balance in the account on a particular day
as these documents do not show that you hold
enough funds for the full period needed."
