free biometric fingerprint

Hello Guys.
Has anybody ever receive a Biometric fingerprint Letter that indicated you not to pay any fee at the post office?
(2)received a letter that a decision has been made to grant you a period of leave to remain , but the period is not mentioned ?

What does these mean pls?

It'll be 2.5 years leave to remain I believe under the new family life settlement route, with no recourse to public funds as granted after July 2012. Unless you appealed? But you can just wait and see.

Yes I appealed in march 2013 and I won my appeal.someone told me a friend got same letter and it was indefinite leave

If you appealed, you should should be under the old rules, thus 3 years DLR which is a 6 year route to settlement.

yes I was initially refused in march 2012,appealed in may and won my appeal

You need to pay £19.20 to the Post Office® to have your biometric captured and sent to the Home Office. This is in addition to the fee you pay to the Home Office for your immigration application. For some immigration routes there is no biometric enrolment fee payable, this will be clearly stated in your biometric notification letter.

Thank you for you kindly respond .i was ask not to pay the fee.these is why I want to know the application route I belong to.lol And I said on my earlier post,the letter that came wt the biometric letter state that(because you have won yr appeal ,decision has been made to give you a period of leave to remain).am confuse about these word(a period of leave to remain).lol
