children as british citizen

Post by rmehta » Tue Jul 30, 2013 2:05 pm

Hi
I have recently acquired ILR (only parents) and we straight applied for my childs naturalisation certificate. My child (born in Uk) has now recived the certificate a few weeks ago but we have not submitted for her british passport. In this time childs Tier 1 dependant visas are finished and soon her indian passport is also expiring.

What I want guidance on is do we have a time limit by which we have to apply for British passport? or can we wait until we get our naturalisation certificates and apply for british passport for all 3 of us in 2014?

By when do we have to submit the child's indian passport back? what are the pros and cons for submitting back indian passport now?(i.e getting POI or OCI card as we parents still have indian passport)?
As i have heard that children born in UK do not get OCI card. is that true?

look forward to your help. support and guidance

Hi @vinny in a couple of months time I want to apply for my child british citizenship under child born and lived in uk for first 10 years category. I look at T-FORM and guidance, everything is fine but in refree sections, first refree is ok but second refree in case of child should be someone involved in child care like school teacher, nurse, doctor etc and known for 3 years, the problem is I moved different address, not a single address living 3 years, in that case what can I do and how do I make a refree and known for my child 3 years? kind regards
