Have the timelines started to go slower comparing to May and June, do you ladies and gents feel the same?

Perhaps lots of caseworkers have taken their annual leaves or sunshine in Britain didn't work for employees of such repetitive work based professions

Yep agree and it looks like 3 months is on the card now. Unless most of July applications are from high risk countries.

But dont forget it is in July that we have seen the quickest turn around in a couple of cases...

I guess if your application is straight forward and no background checks required the decisions are within a week of receiving the application.

Thanks, I don't have a ref number yet, since I haven't received that acknowledgement letter yet. the HO received my application on the 23, so I guess I'll receive it this week, if it doesn't get lost.

But how would they define a "straight forward application" and not carry out "background checks"?

Dear July applicants,

My thoughts - So far it looks like all approval decisions for July applicants are taking longer compared to previous months. No matter what the Nationality was...

We had only handful of approvals so far in July!

Cheers,
Tinku

From what I can see in July timeline is that all approved applicants were postal ones! may be we need to wait couple more weeks, but I reckon approvals have slow down a bit for NCS applicants :(

I have contacted my local council and they have advised me that there has been delays in processing applications recently by HO and hence we should expect some delays for final approvals.

Which council do you belong to ??? And what was the reason they quoted for the delay ?
