Any1 issued with ILR after previously overstaying

Post by ridewithme » Sat Aug 03, 2013 1:11 pm

Hi Guys,

We are planning on applying for ILR for my husband. He previously overstayed his student visa and then left voluntarily to go back to his country, where we got married. He then applied for spouse visa which was granted and since we have been living together in the U.K.
I just wanted to know if anyone else has been through a similar route and if they got ILR issued or not..???.........Also did they apply through post or went through the PEO appointment....???

Please share your feedback.

Thanks.

I have a friend whose husband was a long-term overstayer. He returned to his home country and applied for a spouse visa to re-enter. He later applied for ILR at a PEO without any problem and now has BC.
A previous overstay where a spouse visa has subsequently been applied for and granted doesn't have any relevance when applying for ILR.
