Tier 2 (Company went into administration)

Post by Palashi » Fri Aug 09, 2013 12:00 pm

Hi,

I am on Tier 2(General) visa which expires on 30th April 2015. My company recently went into administration on the 25th June 2015. I have been searching for a new jobs and finally got a job with a company who is not a sponsor. This new company has applied for licence on the 27th July 2013. It seems that they have been told that it may take more than 2 months to get the licence.

a) In circumstances where it may take more than 2 months, how long can I stay in the country?

b) I think that my old company has not notified the UKBA, because I havent received any letter from UKBA yet regarding curtailment of leave, if they havent , what should be my next step?

c) The fact that UKBA has not been notified, will it affect my new application when I transfer the certificate from old company to new company?

Please Please help me as I cant find much info in this type of circumstances at all??

Regards,
Pal

i think the way forward for u is to hope that the company does not informs the UKBA or UKBA does not finds out that the company is in adminstration.

meanwhile, are u sure they have ur up to date address? if not they might have send some correspondence to ur old address, in which case it could be problem.

If not, then hopefully, as of when they get licence, and u have a COS, u should be fine to apply for visa.

I have my present address in my sponsor's records as I received my payslips and the redundancy money.

However, I applied for the visa out side the the UK so the address provided is the home address in India. Havent received anything at Home yet and nothing at my present address in the UK.

Does UKBA use the address from the sponsor or during the one provided when the application was made??
