Tier 2 sponcer liecense urgent help

hii my compny applied for sponcer licence 3 weeks back and my HR received email from ukba asked how many cos and why u need licence and we replied back almost 1 week gone no hearing can any1 goes through this situation. ukba din ask for any suporting document tht means compny documents are ok. pls any one have any idea whts going on. do we get licence or ..........

Hello, i am in same kind of situation we applied for license 4 week back they asked us about same question and then recently my company hr manager email them about whats happening with our application, they replied still in process having required checks.

So UKBA emailed you 3 weeks after you submitted the application asking how many CoS you need and why (?) you need the license?

That's rather strange. When applying for the license online, there's a question about how many CoS is needed, so they should not ask this again, unless you requested '0' CoS.

Is there any chance you can post their email here?

My company applied for sponsor licence in june last week, got mail from ukba they would do a pre visit. Pre visit was done on 1st week of August . They asked from employer payslip of a particular employee which they already sent yesterday. Employer received email that you report has been sent now, I believe to case worker. finers crossed.Visa expiring on 25 th aug, 2013. Any senior member can throw light how long does it take to give a decision once previsit is being done and the documents they asked has been sent now keepin in mind that visa is expiring on 25th aug

It's quite normal for them to ask, nothing to worry about. The form just has a box for a number but they want to know reasons and to check the sponsor is wanting unrestricted cos.

It could still take several weeks to get the licence. Once they get the licence the nominated level 1 user gets a password and user ID and only then can they issue a CoS or apply for a restricted CoS.

@talktonight - Organisation works in financial sector and is in london.The process went like this
Current Status- Psw
Visa Expiring 24th Aug,2013
Switching to tier2 general
Spnsorship licence applied-17th June
Previsit Done UKBA - 1st August
Licence Granted- 14th Aug

congrats manpreet canu tell me ur experience about pre visit what ukba chked and and what they asked and hw much time they spnt in ur cmpny and they did any type of intrview with staff... pls reply asap then we can prepare well for tht

Well UKba checked the records of the exisiting employees, why you want to sponsor a migrant, checked employer's hr compliance, asked for payslips of employees, future plans, vision of company, the interview went for 1.5 hrs.

I was wondering since im in the same situation, did you ask for expediing the licencing procedure from UKBA or did it normally take 2 months to come.

We haven't had any visiting and also we appied a month ago and my visa is expirying less than 3 weeks.

its been almost 6 weeks when we applied for licence we got reply after 3 weeks from ukba they asked why u need licence we did reply same day but nfing after tht ...........why visa is already gone and i applied for temporery extension ... anybody nw hw lond its can take nw.

Current Visa- PSW
Tier 2 Licence Applied -17th June 2013
Ukba sent letter for previsit-14 July 2013
Previsit Done by compliance officer- 1st August 2013
LicenceGranted 14th Aug, 2013 but came without any COS
User id for Cos Recd -15th Aug
Unrestircted COS applied -16th Aug,2013
Cos Allocated - 19 August
Cos Assigned -19th Aug
Visa Expiring 24 th Aug,2013

Sending Tier 2 Apllication 21 St Aug... Yes we did ask them to expidite the process. You can mail them one week before and they are helpful but depends wheter you have the licence or not
