Work seeking after studies in Netherlands

Hi,

I am from India going for a post graduate program in The Netherlands.I came to see somewhere that its possible to stayback in netherlands inorder to seek jobs for a a period of time.Is that true?How much time i will get for job seeking and to get the formalities finished.

Is there rules regarding the period of study in The Netherlands.I am going on an exchange program run by 3 universities so the time i would spend in The Netherlands would b for 4 months only.Could anyone please let me know whether i would be eligible for the above mentioned opportunity if it exists.
