Visa For Parents - HSMP

Post by hsmp_immigrant » Sun May 20, 2007 12:25 pm

Hi,
To give you background... I am on HSMP in UK from 10th Jun 2006, from Pakistan and then I went back to Pakistan and got married. My wife was also in Pakistan in March 2007 she applied for her visa and came here. I am now planning for my parents visit visa to come here in UK for two three months. I will be financing their visit to UK.
I have following queries:
1) What supporting document should I provide?
2) What documents will be needed from them to submit for this case.
3) Are there any accomodation size requirements for visit visa as I have one bedroom flat which also contains one large living room. I am not sure if this will cause any problem for their application or I need to change my accomodation to a two bedroom house?

Kindly guide me in this regard,

Thanking you in advance.

the documents will be much the same as the ones used to bring your wife over. But with a 1 bedroom flat your accomodation may not be adequate ,you have to prove that the accomodation will be suitable and not over crowded,

Thank you for response. If you can please guide me regarding the number of rooms.

My house is like below
One Bedrooom
One self contained Living Room.

Will this be adequate for visa requirement. or I need to change to a two bedroom house.

Thanks in advance.

it depends on the size of the rooms, I would advise that you get an inspector from your local council to inspect it for the number of persons, they will give you a ceritificate which states the number of people the accomodations is suitable for, it sounds like it should be enough, but the certificate would prove it beyond doubt and you can include this in your application. they only charge a small fee for this about £10 i think from memory 2 years back.
