Hi all
Saw an article in yesterday's (20 May) Observer about conditions in Asylum centres. This passage appeared in the article:
"If Reed refuses, the group says that it intends to seek a judicial review of his decision on behalf of seven detainees it is representing, an unprecedented move that would see Britain's immigration system placed under scrutiny in the courts."
How can this be "unprecedented" as the hsmpforum already have an immigration related judicial review underway? The British media seem to be very uninterested in the hsmp issue. They also consistently use the terms immigrant and asylum seeker interchangably, and don't specify legal or illegal immigrants. Really frustrating!
