I received a letter on 23rd July from HO saying my application was successful and I should receive an invitation letter within 2 weeks. It's over a month already and I still didn't receive it. I sent them two emails regarding my case but I didn't receive any answer. There is no valid phone number. Could you please help me, what should I do now?

Many thanks
I would contact the NCS and ask them if they have your certificate there; maybe the HO sent you the letter but it got lost; if the NCS has it, maybe they can send you an invitation letter or ask the HO to do it.

Good luck

Thanks for quick respond. Do you think my local Council could help? Do you have any number to NCS?

Many thanks

the Nationality Checking Service will receive your certification, so they can tell you if they have it; I don't live in London, so your NCS is different from mine; just google, Nationality Checking Service in London (or your area).

Nationality: USA
Eligibility criteria: Descent (child of a UK citizen)
Method of application: NCS
Date of application: 18 Feb 2013
Date of receipt by UKBA: 26 Feb 2013
Date of acknowledgement : Is this different than the receipt letter? I only received one email stating "Thank you for submitting an application to the UK Border Agency. Your application has been received and will be processed in due course."
Date of debit of fees: 18 Feb 2013 (assuming I was billed at the time of filing at the NCS - haven't checked cc bills for exact date)
Date of approval: N/A
Date of Ceremony: N/A
NationalityProgress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Make sure to give your home office ref number from the acknowledgement letter, full name, date of birth, address, and nationality.

Is there a recommendation from anyone what to do if I do not hear something soon without having a reference #? I have addressed a letter to ukbanationalityenquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk but simply received a boiler plate reply with links back to among other places, the webpage where I got the email address from in the first place - the HO UK Border Agency website. I sent a second email to FurtherNationalityEnquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk, but have received neither acknowledgement of, nor a reply to, this email.

Cheers -

Have you sent an email to this email address NationalityProgress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk? Most of the people received reply from this email address within 2 - 3 working days. As your application is more than 6 months old so you can ask help from your local MP and ask him/her to write to HO about the progress of your application.

I have not sent an email to the listed address but will shortly. I found this site tonight and have been trying to figure out what to do. I do not have a local MP since I am still in the USA. Is there any info that I need to include outside of name, date of application, the NCS office I used (Camden), contact info, etc? I am a bit concerned that I do not have a reference #. Should I?

Thanks for your assistance

Hi! The dude

Since you've been waiting more than 6 months, you can phone the HO; use the options 2/2 (waiting for more than 6 months) and I think they'll answer.

If you email, send them your address, date of birth, full name and as much info as you have; also explain that they never sent you a ref #.

Good luck

PS: class film, if your nick refers to the big lebowski :)

Hello friends,
I got a reply email from HO saying they have not made any decision on my wife's application.

Is it ok to email them again for status update ? Will you recommend that or shall I wait ? She is one of many July applicants awaiting the outcome.

Regards

Hi nehalbhagat

There is no point in emailing them again to ask for an update; they just gave you an update: no decision made means status "under consideration"; I'd wait 3 or 4 weeks and email them again, but not now; it doesn't make sense.

I've read that kind of response from other posters on this forum; so I think you'll receive a letter within the next few weeks, but if you don't contact your NCS to ask if they've got your certificate. It sounds like good news to me.

Good luck.
