Surrendered passport but no certificate received

Hi Guys,

Please help me with my query.

I surrendered my Indian Passport and they cancelled it and sent it back. But they have not send me any Surrender Certificate.

How can I get surrender certificate as I want to apply for visa to India ASAP.

This has to do with Indian Passport surrender. Maybe the mod will step in to move it to the appropriate forum.

You gotto contact the Indian Embassy or wherever you sent the passport to be surrendered.

Thanks for the information VR and apologies if I have posted this question in he wrong section.

I have already gone through the process of surrendering the indian passport I went to VFS center in Manchester. After 4 weeks I got my passport cancelled and returned to me however they did not send me any letter or surrender certificate.

Please could somebody suggest me what should I do plsss

Contact VFS with your original application reference/receipt. Did you collect the cancelled passport or was it sent by post? Call VFS helpline 02890955829

Thanks samkma.....I paid for the courier charegs when I made the application so they couriered me my passport........Thanks for the number I will call them and find out what has happened.
