Did you need/apply for a CoA? what is ur nationality?

I think u can switch to spouse visa in-country, provided you got/did not need a CoA, and u'll need to provide the usual documentation:

1. Proof of income to show you can support urselves with public funds

2. Adequate accomodation

3. Not a marriage of convenience ie proof u have a bona-fide relationship

I never said it was a marriage of convenience.

It's not me you have satisfy tho, it's the HO, and you do that with documentary proof.

You say applied for the CoA? Did you receive it?

just prove to the HO with documentary proof of the points I listed, basically that your not too poor to support urselves, your not homeless and ur a genuine couple.

damzy, go to this BIA webpage and download the form FLR(M) and also the corresponding guidance.

Do ensure that the application for the 2-year spouse visa is submitted prior to the expiry of the current student visa. Indeed whilst ensuring you submit the needed supporting evidence, try to submit the application as soon as possible. There is no need to wait until near the end of your current visa. Getting the new visa sooner rather than later will ensure that ILR will be applied for sooner, in about 2 years time, and thus bring forward the date when you can apply for Naturalisation as British.
