Application Fee Description on Credit Card Statement?

Post by apeterso925 » Thu May 24, 2007 6:30 pm

If someone who has already had their application fee debited, via credit card, could post as to what the specific description said on their statement, I would be most grateful (e.g. did it say "Application Fee" "Home Office" etc).

My credit card company has rather stringent fraud protection policies and they have no qualms about rejecting legitimate charges if they *think* the charge might be fraudulent (a policy that has become common practice among US banks, it seems).

I have already called to tell them that at some point over the next few weeks, a valid charge in the amount of 400 GBP will come through from the UK government and to please not reject it! Lol, but I'm hoping I can tell them exactly who the charge will come from...I still don't trust that they'll recognize the charge :(

Thanks in Advance!
