Child tax credit with mortgaged house

Post by jesswongwong » Mon Aug 19, 2013 11:55 am

Hi my husband is british citizen via citizienchip
I am ILR and waiting my Citiczenship applied in Aug 2013 ( hopefully wont be long to get approval)
He owns a house under his own name with mortgage (£400 per month)
He works at family based company
He just got p60 for 2011-12( just part time £140 per week ,no tax paid)
He didn't pay any tax from 2012-13 till august now as the company miss his tax and accountant said can't make back, normally can do in last year ( money cash income for family)
He just get back his formal tax wages of £200 per week , may be drop to £140 later depends on company on turnover
Baby was born in sept 2012 now is 11 month
I am full time wife no work
Both of us got NI
Should he claim ctb at that embarrass period ? How much can he get ?
What other potential benefit can we get

Not sure what "embarrass period" means?

You can claim child benefit and possibly tax credits. I'm not sure what you mean re; the tax of the company however, tax evasion is a criminal offence.

They'll base it on the number of hours he works and forecasted earnings.

My husband suddenly left UK due affairs . He went to China
We are claiming child benefit and working tax credit
I don't work to take care of baby age one
He works 33 hrs under family business
I am living in mortgaged house under his sole name
Originally I planned back to school in 2014 and apply for gov
student finance
Would any one suggest me how I can support my life or maximum my benefit
I still want to study especially in that situation rather then just claiming JSA for life
I may be able to get a 16hrs clerk job under the same company .. Actually take his job
I have used the calculator .. But I wonder no matter how many hrs I work I can't get any working tax credit
I just can get JSA if I don't work
But as I said on the other side I still want to back school
Any one would give me a suggestion
How I can do
