Uk t2 intra company transfer visa extension or ILR

Post by Papu.eagles1 » Mon Sep 09, 2013 7:19 pm

Hi, i have uk t2 ict and i came to uk back in april 2008. My visa got extended twice. Oncein 2010 and once in 2012 and valid currently till 2014 april.

However i went to india in 2012 and stayed there for an year and came back to uk in 2013 august. I used the same visa though and only my cos was updated by my employer.

Can i again apply for extension in 2014 march and if yes for how long and how many times.
If no, can i apply for ILR.

what were the dates of your absences from the UK and what was the purpose of your long absence in 2012?

I was not present in UK between May 2012 till August 2013. I had to go back due to personal reason, however I was working with same employer while i was in India and came back in same visa.

In March 2014 your T2 ICT leave can be extended for a further 3 years (or to the work end date in the CoS if earlier) and at present there is no limit on the number of future extensions.

The May 12 - Aug 13 absence was too long (more than 360 days) to be broken up into two periods of 180 days each so continuity was lost and unfortunately you are not eligible to apply for ILR.
