A few quick question:
1) Can someone who is in UK on dependent Visa for Tier 1 General register a company in UK?
2) Can he / she hire the Spouse who is the main Tier 1 Visa holder as an employee in that company?
3) Can the main visa holder use that salary / income to claim points to extend his tier 1 general visa?

Answer to all of your questions is YES only if the business and the job for spouse is GENUINE.

and you really need solid proofs to back this and be ready for a strict scrutiny.
