1. 5 years from the date her RC was issued (08.2013)
2. 5 years from the date her Biometric Residence Permit was issued (issued on 12.2011, valid until 02.2013)
3. 5 years from when we got married (11.2012)
Assuming you were living in the UK when you got married, then 5 years after marriage.DGTLJNK wrote:I would like to ask one question regarding future matters with my wifes PR, maybe someone here would be able to help me. My wife has been issued RC few days ago. When shall we apply for her PR ?

She was issued Biometric Residence Permit , because she entered to UK on student visa. So technically she was resident since that time otherwise she wouldnt of got this permit, thats why im confused when to apply for her PR.Jambo wrote:Assuming you were living in the UK when you got married, then 5 years after marriage.DGTLJNK wrote:I would like to ask one question regarding future matters with my wifes PR, maybe someone here would be able to help me. Not sure what you mean by biometric Residence Permit. Was she under the UK immigration rules?

28/05/2013: Apply for British Citizen, paid £874, use Local Authority service £50 and pass Life in the UK test, £50. It does mean i don't have to wait 1year hold PR because 6years count start when 1st landing in UK with EEA1, 5th Nov 2006, so by Nov 2012 is 6 yrs.

08/08/2013: Oath, Get British Citizen Certificate.
08/08/2013: Apply for British Passport straight away normal without post office service, counter signature get ready in my application 2 month before, and i saw money already debited from my Bank account 22nd August 2013, £72.50

First of all congratulations mate.i think for people who applied for EEA4 using retain right of residence following divorce/seperation ,they need to wait 1 full year before applying for british passport.I am not sure about this hope someone on here will help clarify this point for me.thankssilontong wrote:Yesterday 02/09/2013 I received my British passport.silontong wrote:Timeline Application

Here is my timeline:
Submitted EEA4 (Retention of Rights)- 5 October 2012
Received COA - 10 October 2012
Issued Residence Document - 21 August 2013
Received Residence Document - 5 September 2013
Funny enough, I received a letter in the post after 4x complaints from my local MP to advise me the UKBA will make a decision within 6 weeks, LOL - the letter arrived the same day the Residence Document did.

Hi, as I read in previous posts the best and effective way to get PR after 6 months of waiting is TO GO AND SEE YOUR LOCAL MP.. You can easy find your local MP by this address : http://www.parliament.uk/about/contacting/mp - in " find " window fill your post code and then will show you names of local MP with addresses and all information you need.isabela wrote:Hi everyone:)After all the phone calls to HO and complains they send me a new COA i cant belive it its nearly 7 months and all they send me a new COA,we will make a decision in any event in 6 months please dont call or make any travelling plans same.does any one knows any good layers please cos i really give up?aplyed for pr retained my right lived in uk since 2006.
