I am still waiting having applied on the 22nd of July at NCS Bristol. AN+MN1 3(1).

Lets hope there is some order at HO, eventhough I seriously doubt such a thing exists after the Ch4 program.

Thanks PKT1980, didn't knew you are still waiting.

Have you tried emailing UKBA on their nationalityprogress email?

I wouldn't hold my breath for any kind of order. People that applied much later than us have already got their decisions. The same happened when I applied for ILR, people that came in 5 hours later than me left before with approvals and the HO workers tried to pull old "IT problems" trick on the rest of us. I find it outrageous, £874 is a LOT of money to pay for essentially a few checks that could be made within days.

I have in fact contacted them a couple of times. However, from others posts I realized that the whole thing is a farce.

I have checked some statistics and HO receives about 15K applications per month just for naturalization and I guess they lose count at some point :)

I don't think anybody, even the HO knows the real numbers; I think the HO it's a huge mess; that's why there is no transparency at all and the rules are so vague, cos if people knew how they operate, it would be a huge scandal; for instance they used to tell when an app was assigned to a caseworker and now they say they can't tell any longer; why? simple, cos there have been complaints that apps were not being assigned in order, so now they don't tell, so people can't complain....

I got my info from the following:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -june-2013

Once you scroll down, you will find the heading :
Citizenship data tables immigration statistics April to June 2013

where, it says that in 2012 they received 184,365 applications, which is basically 15K per month...I did not believe the number initially but I guess if you put that into perspective, the number of people who report here is miniscule.

The split they were talking about has it happened yet?

thay will definitely organise UKBA. I still think our authority is much better than many in Europe where waiting times are lirerally celestial.

I agree with njoy, UKBA is much much better than equivalent in other countries of Europe, and even Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Even the amount of paper work needed is minimal.

With the split, they say service level will much improve, but then next couple of years will be the last wave of ILR, then the numbers will drop dramatically.

why will the amount of ILR applications drop dramatically?

I got my citizenship invitation this morning, dated 23.09.2013.
As I understand, there was meant to be an approval letter first but it was probably lost in the post. I don't know if my email enquiring about the progress helped somehow. I hope everyone waiting gets some news soon.

Thank you neoseal. I sent an email to the council, I think they do ceremonies every Wednesday.
As I understand, you can book with invitation letter because that is what it tells you to do, but not with approval one.

Well, my pal applied and got an approval letter from the HO and when he phoned the council they asked him for the details on the letter and he didn't get any letter from the council, he said that without that approval letter, he wouldn't have been able to book the ceremony; phone them and see what they say..
