Baby born in UK never left UK ... direct ILR?

Post by Tire1Questions » Wed Sep 25, 2013 10:39 pm

Hello All,
One of my friend AK, came from India on Tire1 G visa in 2009. He had his son born in 2010. He never applied for Indian passport since their birth. AK had first extension successfully in 2012. (No extension was applied for baby boy as he did not had any passport and have never travelled out of UK since their birth). Now, AK's ILR is due in 2014.

When AK gets his ILR, would his son be eligible to apply for British Passport straight away?

AK's wife is Tire1 G dependent.

No. MN1 registration first.

Thanks. After filling and posting MN1 to home office, how long home office takes to process MN1?

One more question (out of interest...as there must be other people here whow would be in similiar situation):

How it works for the children (Age; 8 years) currently on Tire1 G Dependent visa? Do they need to apply for ILR? Or should they wait till their parent get ILR. Once parents get ILR, they can apply striaght for citizenship registration?
