PSW dependent to tier 4

Hi,
My wife is on PSW dependent visa , can she switch into tier4 visa without leaving uk and can I be her dependent without leaving uk. Please help me to answer . New rule in coming for dependent from 1 oct . Can it will possible my wife can switch from dependent to tier 4. Please reply. Thanks

Thanks for reply. If she apply from Pakistan and get visa and came back uk on tier 4 than can I switch into her dependent visa with in the uk as I am on PSW visa and visa is running out in May 2014.

Yes, you can switch as dependent in country once your wife has got her visa.


You don't need to leave UK to be her dependent as per changes coming into effect on 1st Oct 2013.

But in your particular case, you wife needs to leave and apply for her visa.

You must do it well before your current visa expiry. If you become over stayer for any reason then switching in country may become hard for you.
