Huge congratulations, sikiliza69!! That's such great news!! Well done!sikiliza69 wrote:panic over! thk god! mine arrived today and dated on the 26th.
@fingerscrossed123, yours should be on the way shortly.
Oh, thanks for your kind words of encouragement! I have tried to just be more patient and calm as have realised that this all seems a bit of a lottery so I just need to wait my turn (whenever that will be!)... hopefully you are correct though and it won't be too much longer!!sikiliza69 wrote:@fingerscrossed123
Ahhh!...that's probably the reason yours is late....yes mine was SD, 1st class post...which means your's it's on its way
I think you have misconstrued the word "lottery" in the context we used it in.xlisusx wrote:British citizenship approval isn’t a case of “lottery”, and yes a case of the applicant send to the HO all documentations needed for a quick approval. People can send copies of documents BUT will take longer for the approval, you don’t need to send your passports BUT it will take longer, for the HO can check for every single time that an applicant left and returned to UK. Police check is very important as well, so if a person has already PVG, Disclosure, all this can make the approval quicker and of course the nationality of the applicant.
So, never mind if a person sends an application first than another, because at the end the important is if you sent to the HO all the right support documentations needed for your approval.

Sikiliza69 + xlisusx - you both make good points!! The actual decision process isn't a lottery because if you are eligible you will eventually get approval (so, xlisusx, you are correct to state that the eventual end decision is important!). However, sikiliza69 and I have noticed that the actual date when people get their approvals does seem a bit of a random lottery... some people get approvals fast, some a bit slow....!sikiliza69 wrote:I think you have misconstrued the word "lottery" in the context we used it in.xlisusx wrote:British citizenship approval isn’t a case of “lottery”....the end the important is if you sent to the HO all the right support documentations needed for your approval.
