ILR TO Citizenship

Hi Guys
Quick question.

I got ILR in Feb-2013 based on 5 years HSMP to Tier 1 Route, (10 Years ILR)

Now I came back to New Zealand in september - 2013.

Now please tell me to apply for Citizenship, do I have to spend complete year in uk ? or within 10 years any 1 year and then apply for citizenship?

Will my ILR will expire if I stay for couple of years in new zealand?

HI, Sorry for late reply.
I had a look at the link, my main question is around expiry of ILR

say if I am away from UK for 1 year or more but less than 2 years, will my ILR (time limit 10 Year) will expire? or I can come back anytime without any issues?

See absences for naturalisation and returning residents for ILR. The expiry date on your BRP does not relate to the actual ILR itself but rather the photograph.

I am confused
I was here for 5 years on HSMP and Tier1 and then got ILR, so as per guidance I already completed residential qualifying period, Correct?

Now if I go away for 2 years then I need to apply for returning resident visa? is that correct?

Unless you're the spouse or civil partner of a British citizen you also need to have been settled (have ILR) for the preceding 12 months before the application is received by the Home Office. You would be very silly to leave the UK for more than 2 years whilst on ILR.
