Salary Slips for Teir 2 Visa

Post by kamatarchu » Mon Oct 07, 2013 12:15 pm

HI All,

Could anyone please guide me regarding the salary slips criteria for applying to Teir 2 visa.

My company has given me soft copies of my salary slips and I have taken the printout of it.

So would I require a stamp or any letter specifying it attestation.

please reply.

Thanks,
Archana

Hi, according to Tier 2 Policy Guidance you do not need to provide any payslips unless you are applying for Tier 2 Inter-Company Transfer visa. However if you apply in person it would be a nice idea to take a few payslips, just in case they ask.

VirtualWaver- You have to provide proof of the period of your employment (if you have already been employed with the company for a while) in the form of either payslips for the entire duration you have stated you have been employed or your bank statements showing that salary from the company is being credited. I chose sending in my pay slips since it was less of a headache. (I've forgotten if there was any other option).

kamatarchu- You need to get a letter from your employer stating that the payslips are valid and authentic if you are printing out the online copies. I did the same. I actually sent in my P60 till April this year and payslips of the period after that.

hmm that's weird - didn't find that info in Policy Guidance! Well I am going to show them my current bank account anyway, so they can see my salary there.

Just looked one more time to Tier 2 Application:

there is no paylsips required according to this form. Maybe they changed the rules (this form is valid from 1st of October 2013)?

Yeah there was nothing in the Policy Guidance but it came up in the list of documents needed after I submitted my online application. Like I said, there was an option between payslips for the entire period, your salary account statement for the entire period of your employment, and I think something else as well which I can't remember.

Documents for Shruti Jain

Evidence of Identity. This document is mandatory, if it is not
submitted this application may be rejected as invalid.
Current passport(s) or travel document(s) Current passport(s) or travel document(s)

Biometric Residence Permit
Two passport photographs Two passport photographs

Evidence of working.
Payslips covering the full specified period from your
sponsor

Evidence that you have a qualification taught in English.
Original certificate of award

Hey that's very weird as well! I just scheduled an online appointment 2 days ago and it didn't show me ANY list of documents I need to bring! I expected to see it but it didn't show me.... maybe they changed something? Did you apply from inside of UK or outside?

Which one you picked? - I picked Tier 2 Paper Form then Tier 2 General then just filled my details and it booked a PEO appointment. It didn't bring me any documents checklist!

Did I do something wrong?

Hi, I also sent P60, 1 year Payslips along with a letter from employer stating authorised copy. I applied 3 weeks ago via online and today I received my passport back. Hopefully will get biometric card within next few days. I sent those docs Bcoz, after submitting online application, I was also asked to send those docs.

Hey guys what you actually mean by saying "applying online"?

Did you apply from within the UK or outside the UK?
Did you book a same day Priority Service?
Did you fill the actual Tier 2 application online or the paper version?
Did you apply for Tier 2 General or other sub-categories?

I suspect we are talking about different forms.

I am personally applying from within the UK, switching from PSW to Tier 2 General. I booked a Priority Service, paid online but did not fill any application online - I need to fill it by hand. Also it didn't tell me at the end what documents I need, it just wrote "Bring your supporting documents: see your application form and guidance notes for details".

That's the application form I am talking about:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... nform1.pdf

Is it the same with you guys or we are talking about different things? Thanks!

Could you please give me the link to that online application form? I am a bit confused to be honest. If we can apply online what's this form for?

Sugar, I just checked and found the online form, however I already paid for paper based premium service. Is it a problem, I mean can I apply using paper form or I have to cancel my appointment and booka new online one? Whats the difference? Thanks a lot!
