Why was she refused the visa, what did they specifically say? Was it a spouse visa you applied for (since you wrote marriage visa, but you say she is already your wife)?bill40 wrote:Hi my chinese wife was recently refused a visa in china to join me in the uk. i have already appealed but would be very grateful if anyone can share their experience with me, or point me to case law online.
thank you for your help i miss my wife very much. Also any advice on my human rights being abused by this disgraceful decision.
How much face time have you spent together if u don't mind me asking?bill40 wrote:The reasons of refusal was the entry clearance officer cast doubt on the validity of our marriage. as i had to cancel my trip to china several times she applied for a visa for germany.
she was honest in her application and stated it was to visit a friend she met online not just tourist. this was also refused.
i think the root of the problem was they dont understand internet dating and how it works.
When she is several thousand miles from me just how do you prove the validity of the marriage. we had a full traditional chinese wedding in front of all her family and friends. what more can i do?
I think that's ur problem. four weeks isn't long. I fully understand the international dating scene and I know internet chatting and even telephone calls aren't worth a lot. The ECO's aren't daft, they know internet-based relationships rarely last, especially with so little face time.bill40 wrote:we have had only 4 weeks time together all in china. on my days off we will spend up to 9 or 10 hours video chatting on msn. we snatch time when we can during my working days. this is hard due to the time difference, but it helps us cope with seperation.
