Post by Archer22 » Mon Oct 14, 2013 10:40 pm

hi,

i am eligible for an ilr in december. my wife joined me here in march this year and has therefore finished only 9 months of stay here. also we have been married for 9 months.
i wanna know if i can apply for an ilr for her on the same form as mine as my dependent.
if that is not possible what kind of visa or extension can i apply for her.

What is your status? Are you a work permit holder or pbs applicant or long residence?

Assuming you are applying for ILR as a PBS applicant see, Dependants of ILR (economic, 5 year route) applicants (click).

With the help of the link that you shared last time I have been able to take things forward and I appreciate that.

We have decided to take the flr(m) route in order to extend my wife's stay in the country.

I understand that she has to give an English test in order to complete application. I have also read somewhere that if the universities that she attended appear on the naric list and complete the necessary points then she does not need to give the test. Currently both her ug and pg degrees (indian) are present in naric.

However I am not too sure about how I can get the certificate for this. Neither is there any mention of these points on the form.

Could you please throw some light on this matter.

If the degree is awarded points on thePBS calculator, a print out of this should suffice the A1 requirement for FLR(M).
